Kazuto Ioka will take on WBA flyweight champion Juan Carlos Reveco in a bid to claim a title at his third weight category on April 22 at Osaka's Bodymaker Colosseum, the Ioka Boxing Gym announced Monday.

"I am going at this like it is my last chance," Ioka said at a press conference at his gym in Osaka. "My motivation in life is to be the world champion. It's more important to me that I become the champion than win titles in three weight classes."

The 25-year-old Ioka is aiming for his third crown following world titles at minimumweight and light flyweight. It will be his second attempt at a world title in the weight class after losing an IBF flyweight title match to Thai champion Amnat Ruenroeng in May last year.

According to organizers, if Ioka, who will be fighting his 18th professional fight, is able to stop the 31-year-old Reveco, he will become the fastest to win world titles in three weight classes. The Argentine champion is making his eighth title defense.
