Hamstrung Japan defender Yuto Nagatomo said Tuesday he still does not know when he can resume playing for Inter Milan.

"I need to speak to the doctor once I get back to Italy," Nagatomo said at Haneda airport before leaving for Europe.

Nagatomo tore his right hamstring at last month's Asian Cup, and aggravated the injury in his Feb. 8 return for Inter. The fullback had been in Japan for treatment following an initial prognosis that said he would be out for six weeks.

Inter is in eighth place, 22 points off the pace of league leader Juventus.
