All streaks eventually come to an end.

For the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix, that reality came true on Sunday in an 89-84 home loss to the Shiga Lakestars.

The Lakestars had 33 fourth-quarter points and held the Phoenix to 23 to secure a victory in the bj-league series finale.

"It feels great, especially getting the win against my former team," Parmer told The Japan Times after the game. "I didn't even realize we snapped their 15-game win streak. Our main focus was to get the W today because we felt we let the game slip away from us Saturday night.

"We just knew we were in a do-or-die situation. On the board before Saturday's game, coach wrote 'live or die' and that's exactly what today's fourth quarter meant to us."
