Adrian Moss, a member of the University of Florida's 2006 NCAA Division I championship squad, has switched teams in the Eastern Conference.
The 32-year-old forward this week joined the Sendai 89ers (3-3). He played six games for the Albirex (4-2), coming off the bench in each contest.
The 204-cm big man averaged 5.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 15.5 minutes a game while with Niigata.
Last season, Moss played for the Bambitious Nara, a 2013-14 expansion team, and was widely recognized as one of the leaders for the Western Conference club. He had a 20-point, 21-rebound game against the Saitama Broncos last January, and averaged 9.5 points and 8.9 rebounds in 50 games.
Moss' Niigata roster spot has been filled by newcomer Russell Carter, a 196-cm swingman, it was announced on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Carter attended the University of Notre Dame before beginning a pro career that has included stops in France, Venezuela, Belgium, Italy and the NBA Development League.
During parts of three seasons (2007-08, 2009-10 and 2011-12) in the D-League, he averaged 6.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 28 combined games for Tulsa, Austin and Iowa.

The bj-league announced on Friday that its 2014-15 playoff format will feature 16 teams, eight in both conferences — an increase of two per conference.
Therefore, only six clubs in the 22-team circuit will not qualify for the postseason.
Here's how it works: The new format will pit the conference's Nos. 1 and 8 seeds against one another in the opening round, the Nos. 2 and 7, 4 and 5, and 3 and 6, but the two-game format (with a to-be-announced third game tiebreaker, if necessary) will remain.
What follows will be the conference semifinals, then the conference final, third-place match and title game during Final Four weekend at Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo.
