Ski jumper Noriaki Kasai, Japan's Sochi Olympic captain, got in a successful warm-up for next month's Winter Games with a victory on Saturday at the HTB Cup.

The 41-year-old Kasai, who this month became the oldest man to win a World Cup ski jumping competition, registered jumps of 136.5 and 133 meters on the Okurayama K-120 hill. He secured his fifth HTB championship with a score of 279.6 points.

The event also serves as a stop on the second-tier Continental Cup circuit.

Germany's Markus Eisenbichler, whose second jump of 137.5 meters was the biggest of the day, finished second with 262.7 points, while Japan's Reruhi Shimizu, who like Kasai is bound for Sochi, was third with 257.1 points.

Olympians Daiki Ito and Yuta Watase finished eighth and 31st, respectively.
