Forward Josh Peppers, who has suited up for the bj-league’s Rizing Fukuoka, Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix and Sendai 89ers, has reached a deal to play for the Shiga Lakestars for the rest of the season, he said on his Twitter site on Friday.

Shiga (16-10), the Western Conference’s second-place team, hasn’t made an official announcement yet.

Peppers averaged 20.2 points in 30 games last season for the 89ers, helping them reach the playoffs.
