KATO, Hyogo Pref. (Kyodo) South Korea's Kim Kyung Tae took a big step toward his first money title in Japan on Sunday with a one-shot victory over Ryo Ishikawa at the Mynavi ABC Championship.

Kim shot a bogey-free 3-under 69 to finish at 13-under 275 at a rain-soaked ABC Golf Club. The 19-year-old Ishikawa was alone in second place in the fifth-to-last event of the season after a 67.

With a winner's prize of ¥30 million, Kim pushed his JGTO-leading earnings total to ¥150 million for the year, about ¥40 million more than Ishikawa, who moved up to second on the list in his bid to win the money crown for the second straight year.

After Ishikawa blew a chance to tie Kim for the lead by three-putting on the 18th green for a par, Kim held his nerve to match par on the last hole.

Kim picked up his third career JGTO title, all in 2010.
