Second after the short program, the 25-year-old Olympic skater earned the highest free skate score of 108.83 points for a winning total of 166.57.

Home favorite and short program leader Kiira Korpi finished 2.55 points behind in second place.

Alena Leonova of Russia was a distant third with 134.77.
