Japanese baseball's amateur draft will be held on Oct. 28, Nippon Professional Baseball announced Friday.

Fans will be invited to attend the draft again. Around 1,000 fans attended the draft for the first time last year, when the Seibu Lions secured the right to negotiate a contract with Yusei Kikuchi after a six-team lottery.

Applications from fans will be accepted on the official NPB website from Sept. 21 to 30.
