NEW YORK — Other than generating some desperately (the operative word) needed excitement among the missing masses and possibly selling enough tickets for the remainder of the 76ers' 5-11 season to rationalize investing in a pro-rated $1.3 million veteran minimum contract, I can't visualize anything positive being derived from Allen Iverson postponing "retirement" to rejoin his original team.

On the flip side, I can easily imagine the negative publicity on tap in the City of Brotherly Love as Philadelphia's media types sink their fangs into the meat of the matter.

Come to think of it, that's probably why the prospect of Iverson again becoming a Sixer was floated to a few outlets before an actual decision is made.
