FORT MYERS, Fla. (Kyodo) Boston Red Sox right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka on Monday finally did what he used to do in Japan, throwing a lot of pitches in the bullpen to maintain arm strength.

Matsuzaka, currently on a rehab assignment in Florida, threw 130 pitches at the team’s minor league complex in Fort Myers after being allowed to throw about 125 pitches.
