NAGOYA (Kyodo) Nagoya Grampus were held to a 0-0 draw by Beijing Guoan on Tuesday in their second group-stage match in the AFC Champions League, but reigning champion Gamba Osaka took a giant stride toward the knockout round with a 4-2 win over FC Seoul in South Korea.

Brazilian forward Leandro was a hat-trick hero, and strike partner Masato Yamazaki set the current J. League leaders on their way in the 12th minute, but Jung Jo Gook leveled for the hosts eight minutes after the break.

Leandro then took center stage with a 20-minute blitz, putting Osaka ahead in the 60th minute before adding two more in the 74th and 83rd to put the game beyond reach. A second goal in the final minute from Lee Sang Hyup was scant consolation for the shell-shocked hosts.

Following their confident 3-0 victory last week over China's Shandong Luneng FC, Gamba will be looking for three more points in their next Group F game at home to Sriwijaya FC of Indonesia, who were hammered by Shandong 5-0 earlier Tuesday.
