INAWASHIRO, Fukushima Pref. (Kyodo) Japanese interest in the men’s aerials competition ended at the World Freestyle Skiing Championships Tuesday as all four competitors from the host nation were eliminated in the qualification round.

Shiro Nishikawa could only manage 26th place with 143.9 points, missing out on a place in Wednesday’s 12-man final along with Naoya Tabara (27th), Turin Olympian Ken Mizuno (28th) and Kotaro Kurata, who did not start the second run and finished last in the 32-man field.
