Women's national team coach Hiroshi Ohashi on Monday announced his decision to step down at the end of his term, saying he has fulfilled his mission of winning Japan a berth in the Olympics and the Women's World Cup. "The two biggest goals were winning berths for the Olympics and the Women's World Cup. I have finished what I initially set out to do as my responsibility," Ohashi said. Ohashi was appointed national team coach after the 2004 Athens Olympics.
