Eintracht Frankfurt striker Naohiro Takahara has returned to Japan to undergo treatment on his injured right knee, the German first division club said Friday. According to the team’s doctor, Takahara complained of discomfort in the knee he initially injured in a practice match in August after Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat at home Karlsruhe. He left Germany on Thursday. Meanwhile, Takahara’s teammate Junichi Inamoto will be sidelined for two weeks after picking up a groin injury during the Karlsruhe defeat.
