JEF United Chiba striker Kota Aoki scored a last-minute winner Monday as Japan beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the AFC Youth Championship to book a place in next year's FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

Japan took a 1-0 halftime lead through Albirex Niigata forward Kazuhisa Kawahara and sealed the win with substitute Aoki's strike after the Saudis equalized from the penalty spot earlier in the second half.
