Eiko Nakayama outpaced defending champion Natsuko Naka to take her second national skeleton title in three seasons on Friday.

Nakayama, aiming for her second consecutive Olympic appearance in Turin, timed the fastest in both of the two runs and won the women's competition with a total of 1 minute, 53.97 second on the final day of action at the Spiral track in Nagano Prefecture.

Naka took second with 1:54.68.
