FUKUOKA – The Softbank Hawks have agreed to terms with Taiwan national team pitcher Yang Yao-hsun, officials of the Pacific League club said Tuesday.
Details on the contract for Yang, 22, were not released. Yang also played as an outfielder and designated-hitter during this year’s Asian championship in Miyazaki.
The left-hander is an elder brother of Fukuoka Daiichi high school infielder Yang Chung-ju, who was picked by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the first round at the amateur draft for high school players.
