HIGASHI-HIROSHIMA, Hiroshima Pref. (Kyodo) Takao Nogami, locked in a three-way tie for the lead after two rounds, emerged as the sole leader with a two-stroke advantage following the third round of the Woodone Open on Saturday.
Nogami made three birdies and as many bogeys before the turn and then charged out with four birdies, including three straight from No. 13, in a bogey-free inward nine for a 67 and an 11-under-par 202 total.
Nobuhito Sato matched Nogami with a 67 to sit alone in second at 204.
Kang takes lead
KURIYAMA, Hokkaido (Kyodo) Kang Yeo Jin shot a 74 to turn a three-stroke deficit into a one-stroke lead at 2-under-par 142 Saturday after two rounds of the Chateraise Queen's Cup.
