YOKOHAMA – Yokohama F. Marinos striker Ahn Jung Hwan will leave the J. League first- division club at the end of this month after his contract expires, team officials said Monday.
The 29-year-old South Korean star is hoping to move to a European club but is still searching for a new team.
Ahn helped lead the South Koreans into the semifinals at the 2002 World Cup. He joined Shimizu S-Pulse in September 2002 before moving to Yokohama in 2004.
