Japanese snowboarder Mero Narita, winner of the women's overall World Cup title for the 2004-05 season, posted a 42.4 score Friday to capture her second women's halfpipe title of the season at a World Cup competition.

Compatriot Soko Yamaoka came in fifth in the competition and was third in this season's final standings.

In the men's competition, Kazuhiro Kokubo took third with a score of 38.1 to have his first podium finish. He was third in this year's final standings.
