Challenger Eiichi Sugama will fight champion Chi In Jin of South Korea for the WBC featherweight title in Seoul next month, the Japanese boxer's gym said Monday.
The pair will face off for the 12-rounder on July 24. Sugama, a 12th ranked boxer from Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, made his debut as a pro in 1996.
Sugama, 28, has defended his Japan featherweight title three times and holds a 26-3 record, including 19 knockouts and one draw. Chi's record stands at 28-2-1 with 17 KOs.
