Quarterback Tetsuo Takata threw for 367 yards to lead his team to eight touchdowns as Ritsumeikan University trounced Hosei University 61-6 on Sunday to win the Koshien Bowl for the second consecutive year.

Running back Kimihiko Kishino put the Panthers on the board 5 minutes, 19 seconds into first quarter, rushing into the end zone from 5 yards out in front of a crowd of 28,000 at Koshien Stadium.

Kishino ran for a 20-yard TD in the first quarter and scored again to extend the lead 21-0 before halftime.

The win earned Ritsumeikan a spot in the Jan. 3 Rice Bowl against the corporate league champion Onward Skylarks.
