Mizuki Noguchi will receive a 2 million yen bonus from the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) for winning the women's marathon silver medal at last month's athletics World Championships in Paris.
JAAF general secretary Koji Sakurai said Friday that Masako Chiba, who finished third in the marathon, and fellow bronze medalists Shingo Suetsugu and Koji Murofushi will be awarded with 1 million yen each for their achievements.
