Milwaukee Brewers lefty Takahito Nomura has been sent to the club's triple-A minor league affiliate in Indianapolis, officials of the National League Central team club's sources said Tuesday.
Nomura, who was released by the Yomiuri Giants after last season, inked a one-year deal with the Brewers during the off-season. He has pitched in mid-relief in 21 games with Milwaukee this season but failed to produce any solid results.
Nomura, who will play with the Indianapolis Indians, has no wins or losses in his appearances with the Brewers but sports a hefty 8.56 earned run average.
Suzuki recalled
NEW YORK (Kyodo) The Kansas City Royals have recalled veteran right-hander Mac Suzuki from their triple-A affiliate in Omaha, according to the club's official Web site.
