It is both surprising and annoying to read what media-mogul Rupert Murdoch is now promoting. Many in the capitalistic world would perhaps agree with his view that everything that goes on sale in the real world can also be sold over the Internet.

I don't think that's true with the news, as the news is something that is also aired for free by radio, some TV channels, various blogs as well as strong publishing opponents of Murdoch. I for one would stop reading a newspaper altogether if it denied me access to its news for want of even a dime.

Internet users worldwide must oppose Murdoch and his silly ideas like this. I honestly hope the Japanese media does not fall prey to Murdoch's ideas.
