I have just finished reading C.W. Nicol's March 7 article, "Coo-ee! Or how to snipe posh pigeons," and am regretting that I decided to read it at all. What is Nicol trying to prove? That he is some great "macho" man?
Was he pointing out that women are so stupid that they don't know the difference between snipe and pigeons? Maybe he's right about that, but I cannot believe that the entire male population of Britain could distinguish the difference either.
The only thing I can praise him for is his honesty. I had been a fan of Nicol's but now feel turned off.
