Meta Platforms will allow Facebook and Instagram users in some countries to call for violence against Russian soldiers in the context of the Ukraine invasion, according to internal emails seen by Reuters on Thursday, in a temporary change to its hate speech policy.

In response to the report, the Kremlin said on Friday that if the policy change is true, Russia will end the activities of Meta Platforms, operator of social media sites Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

"We don't want to believe the Reuters report — it is just too difficult to believe," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporter on Friday.
