Kirin Brewery Co. plans to market its Ichiban Shibori beer in the Philippines through the sales network of Manila-based San Miguel Corp. beginning in August, company sources said Saturday.
Kirin will ship about 800 cases a year produced by Zhuhai Kirin President Brewery Co., its joint venture in Guangdong, China, from early August, to be sold by San Miguel. One case contains 24 350-ml bottles.
San Miguel, in which Kirin holds a 15 percent equity stake, has a 90 percent share of the beer market in the Philippines.
