Employees of the NEC group have donated 8 million yen for survivors of a massive earthquake in Bam, southeastern Iran, in December, a Japanese government-affiliated aid group said Thursday.
Japan Platform said that since the telecommunications infrastructure in Bam was destroyed in the quake, it used the donation to purchase two-way radios for vehicles such as police cars and trucks that deliver food and daily necessities to survivors.
