A 37-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of threatening to bomb the Iraqi Embassy in Tokyo, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

Hiroshi Kawamura, a resident of Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, allegedly telephoned the embassy about 10 times between March 20 and March 23 and threatened to bomb the office. According to investigative sources, Kawamura said, “Leave Tokyo immediately, or I will bomb the embassy and kill the ambassador.”
