The secretaries general of the three ruling parties left Thursday for a five-day visit to Indonesia, chiefly to discuss with high-ranking officials that country's economic reforms.
Taku Yamasaki of the Liberal Democratic Party, Tetsuzo Fuyushiba of New Komeito and Toshihiro Nikai of the New Conservative Party plan to have talks with Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda and probably with President Megawati Sukarnoputri, according to lawmakers from the three parties.
The secretaries general, accompanied by other senior party members, will take part in an Indonesian Independence Day ceremony Saturday before returning home Monday.
