Although weak economic fundamentals have been factored into the Tokyo stock market to a large degree, trading currently remains directionless.
This is primarily due to uncertainty over economic and corporate earnings prospects both at home and abroad, as well as the outlook regarding the nation's structural reform drive.
As a whole, however, the Tokyo market is showing improvement in line with expectations of a U.S. pickup.
