Police on Monday raided the Tokyo office of Yahoo Japan Corp., Japan's top Internet search site, in connection with an investigation into alleged sales of obscene videos featuring minors on the company's auction site.
According to police, advertisements for the child-porn videos were posted on the site between June and August.
On Nov. 7, police arrested Shinichi Hori, 38, a dance school operator from Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, on charges of selling six copies of the videos in July and August in violation of a law banning prostitution involving children aged 17 or younger.
Hori told police he had sold the obscene videos featuring minors to some 300 people through the Yahoo Japan auction site.
