DaimlerChrysler Japan Holding Ltd. told the Transport Ministry on Tuesday that it is recalling 348 Neon passenger cars made in the United States, ministry officials said.
The recall is of cars imported to Japan between June 1999 and April. DaimlerChrysler Japan, the Japan unit of DaimlerChrysler AG, has discovered that tubes in some of the vehicles' engines were improperly attached and could cause engine problems, the officials said.
