A 28-year-old Chinese man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Tokyo inn of about 12 million yen in cash and other valuables in March 1999, police said Monday.

Police allege that Chen Yumei, from China's Fujian Province, and two other Chinese nationals stormed the Shochiku inn in Shinagawa Ward at around 3 p.m. on March 15, 1999, tied up the inn's 82-year-old female owner with adhesive tape and made away with the cash and valuables.

Chen, already indicted in a separate robbery case, told police he used to work part-time at the inn and shared the haul with the two other Chinese, police said, adding they are looking for his accomplices.
