HIROSHIMA -- An exhibition on the history of English-language news coverage in Japan will open next Tuesday in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture.
The exhibition, sponsored by the Kure Municipal Government, was organized with the aim of promoting international viewpoints on world news. The city will present major news items from the past that were covered in English, including stories printed in The Japan Times. The exhibition, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., will be held at View Port Kure through Sept. 25.
