Evolving to better attract 'MICE'
The Grand Hyatt Tokyo has recently renovated several of its event venues, with an eye toward unifying the second floor with a cohesive residential design while enhancing the banquet facilities on the fourth floor with a new show kitchen and direct access to the luxurious outdoor garden.
The renewal is in line with Grand Hyatt's repositioning in the Asia Pacific meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) market. The second floor is now a unified concept with event spaces Residence Anise and Residence Basil now cohesively joined by the new Drawing Room, Coriander and Foyer.
The Thyme banquet area on the fourth floor now includes movable partitions within its six spaces, creating a multi-functional facility with more room for guests to move around and enjoy both indoor and outdoor events. In addition to the show kitchen, an advanced pull-down screen and projector has been installed, providing a wide variety of event options.
The move is aimed at further differentiating the hotel's products and services, making it more competitive in the face of growing MICE demand and the approach of the 2020 Olympics.
