Lotte's "Koara no Machi" ("Koala's March") brand of cookies has added a not-so-radical new flavor to its roster: cocoa and milk.
In the past, Lotte's cutest snack has been flavored with honey, banana and — wildest of all — pineapple filling, alongside the classic chocolate and strawberry varieties.
The new special edition (¥108) fails to leave much of an impression — it tastes more or less like a regular Koala's March chocolate cookie.
The only unique element this version of the sweet marsupial has going for it is that it comes in a slightly cuter box than usual.
