Heisei Koshinkyoku @ Session House

Mademoiselle Cinema, an all-women, nine-member dance company attached to Session House in Tokyo's Kagurazaka, will present a dance piece entitled "Heisei Koshinkyoku" ("Heisei March") on April 27 and 28.

In an attempt to visualize the Heisei era, the dancers through their bodily movements will try to revive the memories of school athletic meets they took part in as children as their parents watched. Naoko Ito, who set up the company in 1993, will choreograph the piece. The company performed in Poland in 2011 and in Mexico and Ethiopia in 2017.
