Finding and keeping a big old case of suspicious-looking cash rarely turns out well for anyone in the movies, and that's also true of "A Single Shot." The film features a decent cast e_SEmD Sam Rockwell, Jeffrey Wright and William H. Macy e_SEmD and is based on the taut titular novel by Matthew F. Jones, but it pales next to "Winter's Bone." Solid, but never surprising.
