Basically the comedy version of the "Before Sunrise" series, "2 Days in New York" — like its predecessor "2 Days in Paris" — has Julie Delpy starring and directing in a relationship crisis from hell. Delpy's character Marion is in a new relationship with Mingus (Chris Rock) and things are going swimmingly ... until Marion's family visit from Paris. Delpy mines American stereotypes about the French (and vice versa) for plenty of laughs, echoing the best of 1970s Woody Allen.
