Design is integral to just about every aspect of our lives. It influences us daily— from our everyday interactions to abstract ideas. Today, design museums not only archive and showcase works, but recognize their roles as platforms for dialog, discussion and retrospective thought.

Since it opened, 21_21 Design Sight has held 23 exhibitions, all of which have been based around four themes: finding, making, linking and creating. This exhibition serves as an extensive overview of the design process by re-creating each of the museum's past shows and introducing other Japanese and overseas museums. Talk events, workshops and tours specifically for children are also featured; Oct. 25-Feb. 9.
