Art collector Kinji Usato, also known as Hakutoro, shares an expansive selection of Chinese ceramics for this show at The Museum of Oriental Ceramics. Ninety works, spanning 5,000 years of Chinese ceramics from the Neolithic age to the Qing Dynasty, from his personal collection will be on display.

Usato's own knowledge of East Asian art is reflected in the works exhibited, which exemplify both the technique and history of Chinese ceramic ware. Some particularly noteworthy pieces include a painted jar from around 2,500 BC and a green glazed bowl with beaded decorations from the late 6th century; Aug. 10-Nov. 4.
