Psy16 and Earthcore Japan present "Fractal," a monthly Goa psy-trance party at Club M in Nishi Azabu. On the B2 psychedelic floor are DJs Kemix (Earthcore Japan, Psy16), Batta, Coldring (Flying Kamoshika) and YK (Earthcore Japan). On the B1 chill and progressive floor are special guest live act Random (Guidelines / LIVE, UK), plus DJs Tsunami Devil (Outback Eclipse), Mario (Manas / Daze Maze) and Jef (Psy16). Utage -- Aug. 12-14

"Japan's best party" is a pretty bold claim, all things considered, but people who are headed to Stargate's Utage festival next weekend just won't let up. This event features progressive, house, drum & bass, psychedelic and jam bands at the Pine Ridge Kandatsu ski resort in Niigata Prefecture, one minute from the Yuzawa IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway. Mother Records S.O.S. - Aug. 13-15

Mother Records presents "Space of Sound (S.O.S.)" at Hakuba Tsugaike Kougen in Nagano Prefecture. Live acts Atomic Pulse, Domestic, Logic Bomb, Pixel, Pop Stream, Protoculture, Psycraft, Synthetic, Wizzy Noise. The lineup includes an impressive list of DJs and a chillout and freestyle site. Advance tickets are 10,000 yen (12,000 yen at the gate). Parking will cost 3,000 yen with free shuttle service to the entrance area. Note that the free gondola service will operate from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.
