The gentle Harp was found abandoned in a hot springs area. Concerned staff from a hotel fed her bread and, eventually, she got up the courage to come nearer and was caught. Luckily her destination was ARK.

Bigger than a Shiba but smaller than a Labrador, Harp is timid and no doubt having been dumped has left her wary of people. She avoids mingling at adoption events and is not handling the constant clamor well. Still very young, Harp does get used to new environments quickly and would be an easy dog to care for, even in a home with other dogs or cats.

What Harp needs desperately is a person who resonates with her delicate, sweet nature, very much like the soothing sound of the instrument she is named for.

If you are interested in adopting Harp, please email ARK at [email protected] or call
