Goals by Leandro and Shuto Abe lifted J. League side FC Tokyo to a tough 2-1 Asian Champions League Group F win over Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua FC at Qatar's Education City Stadium on Friday.
Leandro made up for an hour of frustration with a 61st-minute strike after being put into space on the left by a Keigo Higashi through pass. The Brazilian sent a blistering shot between keeper Li Shuai and the far post.
Abe tapped in the second eight minutes from time after Taichi Hara chased down a loose ball to the left of the box and crossed to his teammate in front of goal.
