Naoki Tajima and Czech partner Ondrej Styler won the boys' doubles crown at the Roland Garros Junior French Championships by beating Taiwanese fifth seeds Ray Ho and Chun Hsin-tseng 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday.

It was the first time a Japanese player had captured the boys' doubles title since former world No. 4 Kei Nishikori did it with Emiliano Massa of Argentina in 2006.

"Because Nishikori-san won (the same title) before, we were really eager to win. We were able to win points when we both played at the net, and that was the key," said the 17-year-old Tajima.

In the girls' doubles, the third-seeded Japanese duo of Yuki Naito and Naho Sato reached the final but were defeated by the U.S.-Poland team of Caty McNally and Iga Swiatek 6-2, 7-5.
