Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Kenta Maeda was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a right hip strain.

Maeda was removed from his start against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday in the second inning and a subsequent MRI revealed the injury, sending him to the disabled list for the second time in his career.

The 30-year-old was replaced by Dennis Santana, who was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City, on the roster.

Maeda is 4-4 with a 3.61 ERA in 11 games this season.
