RIO DE JANEIRO – Seven-time major winner Inbee Park held her lead on day three of the women’s Rio Olympic golf tournament Friday with a solid round in windy conditions, as Lydia Ko made a charge to set up a tantalizing final day.
South Korea’s Park went around the Olympic Golf Course in 1-under 70 to lead at 11-under 202, two shots ahead of New Zealand’s world No. 1 Ko, who fired a 6-under 65, and American Gerina Piller, who shot a 68.
China’s Feng Shanshan sat alone in fourth after a 3-under 68 left her at 205.
Meanwhile, Japan’s Harukyo Nomura carded a 72, falling to 3-under 210, eight shots off the pace and tied for 15th.
